Breaking 54 students into 3 groups, LLM, search engine, brain only, the study looked at their brain activity, connection to writing, and quality over 3 session. Interesting notes on, bias related to tools used, ownership and memory of the essay, and brain activity. Study also did a final session (n=18) where participants in the LLM group brains, and participants in the brain only group used LLM. This article was reported widely in media.
